The mission of Calabasas High School is to educate all students to the highest degree of their individual abilities. Every student is expected to be a critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to comprehend and think through complex issues. Each student will develop the vital skills of interpreting information and communicating effectively. Our students are expected to develop academic, personal, and social skills and become contributing members of society.
Critical Thinking /Problem Solving: Students will demonstrate the ability to deal with complex, real-life problems logically.
Academic Skills: Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze, combine, and access essential data.
Personal and Social Developments: Students will take responsibility and handle real-life challenges in finance, day-to-day living and community service.
Communication and Interpretation: Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate in English and possibly a second language.
Calabasas High School is a four-year, Freshman to Senior, high school. CHS is one of 3 high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. (Calabasas High School, Agoura High School and Indian Hills High School) CHS is located at the southwestern edge of the San Fernando Valley and serves portions of Calabasas and West Hills. On September 26, 2006, Calabasas High School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award, an award that puts the school in the top ten percent of high schools in the state. We are proud to announce that our 2008 API is 842.Thank you to the CHS Faculty and Staff.
Calabasas High School announces weekly tours in December for parents of prospective
students. Tours will be offered Friday mornings at 9am and will feature the campus,
classrooms, sports and arts facilities as well as centers for research.
“It’s the best way that we can demonstrate the expanse of
our campus, the academic opportunities of our “Blue Ribbon” school and the diversity
of interests and participation levels of our student body,” offered C.J. Foss,
principal of Calabasas High School .
Parents of students attending A.C. Steele and A.E. Wright Middle Schools, as well as
those currently in private schools are encouraged to meet in the Lecture Hall on
December 5th, 12th or 19th by 8:45am for the visit. Information packets will be
available on academics, activities, student clubs, booster clubs and FAQ’s.
