Dear CHS Community,
Spring Semester is well underway. It truly is our belief that all students can succeed - with the right support. Continually striving to make CHS ever better, we have begun a new Guided Studies class for students that need extra support. In addition, we continue to have Saturday tutoring, Math Honor Society tutoring, Wednesday after school tutoring and weekly Support Period.
Thank you to the PFC newsletter team for adding one more way for the school, our parent support teams and our families to communicate. The weekly newsletter is a GREAT resource providing not only information but also insight into the life and spirit of CHS.
Students at CHS strive for excellence, academically and in extra-curricular activities. The Coyote Spirit is alive and well. We celebrated Spirit Week and Winter Sports today at a terrific Pep Rally. Rehearsals have begun for our Spring Production, Flowers for Algernon. Join us throughout the season for great athletic and extra-curricular activities.

8th Grade Informational Meeting
On March 10th, the Calabasas High School Counselors will meet in the CHS Lecture Hall with incoming 9th grade families to review the course selection sheet. These are group sessions, NOT individual meetings. These informational sessions will take place in alpha order by last name. You may ONLY attend your particular meeting as seats are limited. The times are as follows:
A – E 3:00pm – 3:40pm
F – K 3:45pm – 4:30pm
L – R 4:35pm – 5:20pm
S – Z 5:25 pm – 6:00pm
Please join us as we attempt to make your transition into high school a smooth and enjoyable experience. We thank you for your cooperation.
Vice Versa Dance
The Vice Versa Dance is in the CHS gym on March 13, 2010, starting at 8:00 pm and the last dance begins at 10:30 pm. If you are bringing a guest who does not attend CHS, please complete a guest pass application form. There will be picture packages available at the dance. Tickets will be on sale at the Student Store and prices are as follows: Mar 1-5 $35 ASB / $45 w/o Mar 8-12 TBD
Flowers for Algernon
Please join us for the CHS Theater's Spring Play Flowers for Algernon starting Tue. March 16th thru Sat. March 20th. This classic story about a man in search of himself is poignant, funny, tragic, but leaves the audience with hope for the indomitable spirit of man. Tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE. Show times are 7pm and also a matinee on Sat. at 2pm. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
College Knowledge Night
Attend informative sessions on Thursday, March 25th with representatives from: University of California, Cal State University, Private Colleges, Community Colleges, Financial Aid, College Transitions, College Entrance Exams, Essay Writing, Career Coaching, Gap Year and Summer Programs. Students and Parents from all local high schools are welcome! The program begins at 6:30 pm in the OPHS Pavilion at Oak Park High School located at 899 N. Kanan Road.
