Cheating/Academic Dishonesty which includes and is not limited to plagiarizing, copying homework, downloading information from the internet, and academic dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated at CHS.
DEFINITION OF ACADEMIC DISHONESTY
ACADEMIC DISHONESTY (STUDENTS)
PLAGIARISM AND INTELLECTUAL HONESTY
If an incident of cheating/academic dishonesty occurs the following steps will be taken:
- The student will receive a failing grade on the exam, paper, or project.
- The parent/guardian will be notified by an administrator.
- An academic dishonesty contract will be signed by the parent/guardian and student.
If there is a second incident of cheating in any class within a 365 day period from the time of the initial incident, the student will receive an automatic fail from the class in which the second cheating incident occurred.
