Principal's Message

Calabasas High Principal Bennett Wutkee

August 2023

Dear CHS Community,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Calabasas High School for the 2023-2024 school year. To all incoming freshmen and new students – WELCOME!! We are so excited for you to join our school! We look forward to all of the great experiences that we are going to have together. To our returning sophomores and juniors - you’ve got this! I hope that we can help you find joy in the journey and that we can support you as you work towards your goals. And, to our seniors - you’re finally here! You are so close to the finish line. I encourage you to keep going just a little bit longer, to give your best effort every day, and to finish strong! We are so proud of all of our students and we embrace the opportunity to support you through your educational journey.

I am thrilled to join the CHS community as your new principal. I have enjoyed meeting teachers, staff, students, and parents over the last few weeks and I look forward to meeting more of you very soon. I am eager to partner with our PFC, Booster Clubs, other parent organizations, staff, students, and teachers to provide CHS students with the best possible high school experience.

I join LVUSD after 21 years in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. I was a Spanish teacher and baseball coach at Westlake High School, a middle school Dean of Students at Redwood Middle School, Assistant Principal of Athletics and Athletic Director at Westlake High School, and Assistant Principal of Instruction at Newbury Park High School. Most recently, I was principal of Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Learning.

It is humbling and motivating to be the proud principal of Calabasas High School. I look forward to getting to know students, staff, and families and building great relationships. I can’t wait to get the school year started and to embark on this journey with all of you!
