Principal's Message
Dear CHS Community,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Calabasas High School for the 2024-2025 school year. To all incoming freshmen and new students – WELCOME!! We are so excited for you to join our school! We look forward to all of the great experiences that we are going to have together. To our returning sophomores and juniors - you’ve got this! I hope that we can help you find joy in the journey and that we can support you as you work towards your goals. And, to our seniors - you’re finally here! You are so close to the finish line. I encourage you to keep going just a little bit longer, to give your best effort every day, and to finish strong! We are so proud of all of our students and we embrace the opportunity to support you through your educational journey.
I am thrilled about all of the positive changes taking place at CHS - it truly is a great time to be a Coyote! Between facilities improvements, expanded collaboration opportunities for staff, a new bell schedule, and our talented and dedicated staff and incredible PFC (Parent Faculty Club), there are wonderful opportunities available for all of our students. Speaking of facilities improvements, we are excited for students, staff, and families to see our school's new paint scheme, the new HVAC systems in the H and PA buildings, the new Broadcasting classrooms, a new home for Athletics, new lunch tables, and more! We encourage all of our students to get involved and to take advantage of the endless opportunities available to all students at Calabasas High School.
This is my second year as principal of Calabasas High School. Previously I worked for Conejo Valley Unified School District. I was a Spanish teacher and baseball coach at Westlake High School, a middle school Dean of Students at Redwood Middle School, Assistant Principal of Athletics and Athletic Director at Westlake High School, Assistant Principal of Instruction at Newbury Park High School. Most recently, I was principal of Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Learning.
It is humbling and motivating to be the proud principal of Calabasas High School. I look forward to continuing getting to know students, staff, and families and building great relationships. I can’t wait to get the school year started and to embark on this journey with all of you!
Sincerely,
Bennett Wutkee
